Boys' And Girls' State


Boys' State 2010

 

Congratulations to the following delegates for Boys' State 2010 from Argyle Central School this year!

Boys' State Information

 

 American Legion Boys' State is a unique summertime educational program for high school juniors that focuses on participation and personal experience in a model state, complete with governmental bodies and elected public officials. It is designed to mirror the structure and operation of its respective state government, providing training in practical citizenship, leadership and character development.   

Criteria for elegiblity: 

High School junior boy in the top half of his class

Physically fit

Patriotic

  This year, Boys' State is held in at SUNY, Morrisville, NY.  The Argyle American Legion interviews nominated candidates and will cover all expenses and transportation.  For more information:  http://www.nyamericanlegionboysstate.com/



Empire Girls' State 2010

 

Unfortunately, we were unable to obtain a seat for Empire Girls' State for 2010.  Seats are limited and are held by the Washington County Legion Auxiliary.
